Can you tell us where you got the background of the office space with white walls and the blue glow?
Thank you so much for the video. I used to take a lot of pictures and video for my kid sporting events and ban competitions, but it was more of something to do for the kids and their families to have. Years later I found myself dusting off my old Canon 70D, got my part 107 and bought a drone and went out shooting a couple of commercial properties for my wife. Now she wants me to shoot 2 more of her commercial properties, so I purchased the Canon R6M3 with RF STM lens and looking to get more into photography and video out here in Vegas to stay busy. Thanks again for the video.
That is a great video.
Thank you.
I also chat through the entire session. Sometimes it gives me a headache lol
What stands are you using for the backdrop the one with the beauty dish, as well as the one that looks like a V?
Love this Gary… This is exactly what I was looking for. Drop the Mic 🙂
Gary, really really enjoy your videos. Question… I saw in one of your videos where you were doing portraits for people at the library and then immediately sending them a link to their portraits. I’d REALLY love to learn that process of immediate turnaround to clients but there just seems to be so many varying methods from so many people… Can you share how you use Capture One to immediately send photos to clients after the shoot? Or is there a video out there that exists already you’d recommend? Thank you, sir!
I have my first branding client this weekend. I found your extremely helpful video just in time. Watched it twice and took additional notes.
holy moly……. Mod is so stunning!!! What a presence, she looks so good! Now, that's step 1 for good portraits: Talent. They have to be able to deliver otherwise, as the photographer, you're constantly trying to fix the basics all the time. I've spent so many years (more than 3 decades) behind the camera, I can definitely say that the model is keep to good portraits. I did love the video, I appreciated all of it, great direction a also key to success. The lighting is super on-the-nose (simpler is always better…). Thank you Gary, and a big thank you to Mod for making it all look so fine!!
Could you please let me know what your ball head hand grip is?
A good video lot of good info!! What type of Ball Head your camera is on? looks like that is something like a handle or something at the bottom of the camera
I love this video.. I started doing headshots and those are my most complimented work. Also, this guy is hilarious!
Fantastic content, as always Gary!
I love the way you guide your model in the shoot. I have to also say, she is absolutely gorgeous. I learned a lot from watching this video.
Obvio como es campirana a ella le gusta el campo no la ciudad.
Great info. Always learn something new from your videos! #blessings
It's just me or I seing a woman with a dark green shirt at the chair in the video, and a woman with dark blue shirt on the photos?
Great video Gary,
I loved the first background dark green that you used, can you tell me please where did you get it? 😊
I just realized I have so much to learn about portraits.
I'm not talking about lights, setups and all, which I do, but I'm impressed by how you directed the model.
Thats an amazing skill to develop, and I'd absolutely need to learn more about it.
Gary would you position a male model in the exact same positions as you did with this very beautiful female model?
Masterclass!
Thanks for sharing, super helpful! What's the camera tripod being used?
Gary, this was a masterclass!!! I do have one question for you: what tripod are you using in this video?
Lastly Happy Holidays.
Excellent! – I like the mirror where the subject can see their pose
Great directions!
Fantastic, well presented, super useful!
Uncross people's arms. never do that again! never!
This was such a great video. I was pleased to see a few things that I already use in my workflow, as well as a few things I can definitely try to incorporate to add more variety. I have never tried a hero image, so I'll definitely explore that. I am definitely looking forward to seeing Gary at Imaging. Thanks, guys!!!
Great video Gary, amazing as always. 😊Can you tell me if the beauty dish was white or silver inside?
I'll have to stick with my entry level Canon 200d for now 😂
Although I have posted an image from my daughters Maternity shoot that I did for her a couple of weeks ago, being outside i decided to create distance between myself and her and used a Sigma 100-400mm lens
I love the mirror trick/idea!!!!
Gary, the way you spoke and directed was full of confidence; shows it wasn’t your first rodeo 😂 loads of good information an explanation. Thanks bunch, really appreciate it. Ta!
This video is super underrated!
Your video reminds me of when I used to work at Sears Portrait Studios. WELL DONE
love seeing other photographers at work, great job
