"TMIDD After Dark" Has a good sound to it. It could be a HIT!!!! 🤔Thanks for yet another vid. You keep em coming and we all are thankful! (and spoiled as a result LOL) Continuous light is narrow lane. I actually like it. Kinda cool. Like lighting a movie scene. I think that is gonna be "my thing". No experience with flash, speedlights. BUT it is 2023 and I said this is the year. Will learn. Going to start that channel at some point this year and I can only hope to get shots and moments like you have with that SOOC Lexi shot on the left (Spectacular) and ambience like 8:11 (Beautiful). What's Up TMIDD! I enjoy watching your videos and in this video your point on lighting in darker situations is valid! Each piece of gear that you have in your camera bag plays a part in what you're trying to capture. Like in daylight photography I use ND filters to bring the ambient light down for balancing the ambient light then I introduce off camera flash, however it's the opposite when doing a shoot in low light. There's a lot of missed representation about boosting up your ISO, but its critical to up your ISO in darker situations. Now I use led lights in my night photography for the fact you need LESS light in low light situations if you want to capture the background as well as your subject! You can't always use 100-200 on your iso because what's going to happen is your background is going to be super dark. My thing is don't be afraid to boost up your iso and use a low light source with diffusion to light you subject if you want a soft light look.
😂 yea bro, saying Louisville wrong is definitely a determining factor that you are not from the area. I had never heard it said any differently until I traveled multiple states away from KY. Nice video too. Shooting at night can be tricky at times, especially for beginners that do not have fast glass or limited knowledge of lighting levels and output. I have used speedlights in this case but lately i prefer continuous light sources, and something as simple as a pocket light can give you ample light in most cases.

Secondly, thanks for putting up this video. Even though I’ve successfully implemented every single one of these tips, except for the tripod method, it was good to refresh one’s memory. I keep on forgetting to actually use my V1 speed light versus my AD200, I think it goes a bit darker. Modeling lamps are definitely clutch…. Biggest problem I have is using the V 1 or the AD200 modeling lamp. It’s still not having enough light to acquire Focus .I’ve actually started to use LED tubes as opposed to flash in low light conditions when I am Trying to include the ambiance
