My friend Kate wanted to shoot in Kimono for quite some time now, and we decided to shoot during this time of the year (spring). Nothing quite like Japanese cherry blossoms and kimono for a portrait session.
Cloudy days are known to be the least popular condition when it comes to portrait photography, but using the promise filter and finding the right composition and cloud defused lighting, I actually love this weather for portraits now!
Let me know your thoughts and which photo was your favorite π
This is episode 5 of ‘A day of portrait’ series where I bring you all along my day of photography.
Every episode will be different and unique to its own, so I am super excited to keep sharing them with you all!

I have watched this video so many times
I love the colors!!! So gooood!!
Also, I love your use of foreground. Such a huge missing aspect of portrait photography, IMO.
Wow. She's absolutely gorgeous and I love your b-roll shots, as well as the photos. I have a pro-mist filter but haven't even used it on any projects yet. Shots like these make me excited to try it out.
The brown earthy tones are so beautiful
Two thumbs up!!
Kimono was introduced to Japan by Korean monk as funeral clothing in plain tan material color which Japenise copied it to make it into their own clothing with coloring because they had none. Japenise history only go back 2,000 years compare to 5,000 years for Korea.
Beautiful photos and model. Keep up the good work!
how are your video shots so smooth?πdo you use a stabilizer or?
Can you explain what gears you use for video/photography I know you use a GoPro but it would be nice to have a full detail maybe this can be a video idea π thank you
