Great video as always and thank you for introducing us to the reblum tool, it does look like a time saver! When I do portrait I spend around 5 min per photo doing skin retouch (which adds up quickly) and sometimes I don't even like the result, so this seems like a lifesaver.
OK, two absolutely gorgeous sisters on a photo shoot. What could possibly go wrong? Another belter Faye and sibling. Loved it!
Haven't forgot to format in 25 years or so. If I wouldn't have a routine for it, I would.
As soon as I manage to get an offline, off location backup – I format the cards.
Large cards in combination with not shooting as much as I would like probably helps too 🙂
I go through the equipment the day before, charge the batteries, check the cards and pack the stuff I think I'm going to need, including water, some snacks, clothes for any weather etc.
I'm better at preparing than shooting 😀

I don't do much portraits, but when I do: it's mostly in LR adjusting seperately skin texture, skin shadows, hair, lips, eye whites, iris and going back and forth a few times soooo it takes up a long time. 🙂

I think the term "Dutch Tilt" comes from German expressionist cinema, where they used this tilt angle. "Deutsch" (german for "German") was then somehow changed to "Dutch". As far as I know.

I took lots of photos for my goddaughter’s 18th birthday and tried to retouch the photos with the little equipment I have, and I easily spent more than 30 minutes there by taking photos…

The “Dutch Tilt” actually came from Germany, it just got mispronounced. The technique actually originated in the 1920’s it was a way to create a feeling of discomfort or giving a movie or a picture a little edge ☺️
Thanks for a great video as always! So about HEIC, it’s a more efficient file format used primarily by Apple products that can reduce file size a lot more without losing quality compared to jpg. It could very well be that your iPhone is already set to it.

The Amazing Duo strikes again ! I love how u shoot on the same places some time…like that gas station, and make it look so different in vibe with the edits and of course the models. The other girl had such a grungy style, punky runaway, and then with your sister its more the cowboy style girl from a small town in the middle of nowhere. Its like two characters playing in the same movie… with two different stories. Also the end shots on the cabrio where Fire. Hope Julia is well.
Unpopular (?) take: I would rather have all Yulia “imperfections” intact. I used to do the soft clean skin, but moved away for an actual more natural look.

I bet you didn’t expect to shoot a downHEEL session…😂 joke aside, I hope your sister is fine. Working with Luminar Neo, I usually spend around five minutes on a portrait, using my own presets. I’ve shot five weddings in my life, I’m not a big fan of shooting weddings except when it’s for very good friends.

Actually, it has nothing to do with the Dutch, but everything about the German word "Deutsch" that gets mispronounced from its origin "Historical Origins: Originating in 1920s German Expressionist cinema (derived from a mispronunciation of the German word Deutsch), it was historically used to visualize madness, tension, and distorted reality." Also the APSC Crop, I have mapped to the DOF Button on the front of the camera… for the past 5 years on my R6's. Very helpful for Events! HARD LESSON TO LEARN – FORMAT your Cards "IN YOUR CAMERA" Before Every Shoot. Deleting images, video or storing for long periods of time can create file corruptions on your card and render ALL contents bad… then it's a stressful Recovery Day. LOVE THAT – Always Collaborate with your Models, let them see what you are doing and what they look like… they ALWAYS Perk Up and get more Involved and the results are always better.

Apparently because English speakers don't know the difference between Dutch and Deutsch. It was supposed to be Deutsch tilt or angle. 😂
