Seems most of the new Barcelona App features are already in NEO, is Skylum just taking a section out of NEO to make more money ??
Very disappointed! This should have been a new tool in Luminar Neo. As a long time subscriber to Skylum software I sure hope this is not what the future holds.
I use Portrait Pro, that does all and more promised by Skylum. Will Barcelona be competitive on price and features? Bug free? Subscription free? Buy, sight unseen, even with a discount? Some assurances needed
I have Luminar Neo, or should I say I pay for a subscription. While I am mostly happy with it's features I am beginning to think it is scam. Announcing this separate app instead of integrating it in Luminar Neo is the worst kind of marketing scam. I feel that Skylum is not treating me as a valued customer but only as a money making opportunity. For goodness sake, Skylum, please start behaving like you have respect for your customers. Project Barcelona is a massive own goal and a slap in the face to your existing customers.
In the old Skylum manner, they are opening up new construction sites instead of finishing the old ones first. Slowly but surely you can really lose the fun with products from Sklyum. The SuperSharp Ai extension still does not work reliably and without errors and even after more than two years, basic program functions are still missing.
Even as a Luminar user from the very beginning, I'm now increasingly reaching for Adobe Lightroom Classic or DxO Photolab 7 again, because that stuff is simply much more mature. So I won't be watching the drama surrounding Luminar Neo and the bugs and missing basic functions for much longer.
… and let's be honest; even the Luminar iPAD app, which was only recently released, already feels dead from the user's point of view.
I feel like instead of updating NEO they are requiring a whole new app. This might make me stop using NEO. NEO is fast becoming a land scape tool. I love it but this is concerning as most of my use is for portraits in NEO. If they move off of updating NEO I am worried.
Another subscription ?
It would be a good idea to fix all the bugs in Luminar Neo and integrate missing functions before devoting oneself to new and other projects. The same customer-unfriendly behavior every year. Ok, it took exactly two years this time.
Why use this rather than Neo?
