Great quick tutorial. Towards the end, when you exported the shots to reblum, you said they were JPEGS. Do you not edit in raw anymore? Or you can now further edit using the jpegs? Do you use the reblum with raw photos?

When cropping, how much attention do you pay to aspect ratio? I pay quit a bit trying to think ahead to the size of print I might make, trying not to force a custom print size. Or, is this being too fussy?

It's a tough job but someone has to make the sacrifice. 😉

Hey Matt, what kind of light setup did you use for this photo of Laura at 16:23? Continuous or flash with an orange gel?

How tall is Steph? I love how the metal rail and the shadow designs it left on the models body. Very cool. Matt, what are you using computerize these days and monitor also. I am thinking about getting the new Mac Studio square Box, LOL with M4 Max with 48GB ram. That should be enough processing power to last at least 5 years. I am using LR & PS with the PS ( beta ) you think that would be enough computer?

Nice shots, great retouching. I have been a Capture One user for years now but haven’t been updating it. I ran the latest update and to my surprise they added a blemish slider and man, it’s great! Check it out. One program now does it all locally, no bouncing from LR to PS to various plugins. If I have to do heavy warping, etc, I use Afinity Photo for that task.

Always interesting being a fly on the wall to your workflow. We often get to see the shoot, this is where the rubber hits the road though, getting a finished shot for publication. Always amazed at how successful reblum is on retouching: some serious AI smarts on what constitutes skin. Thinking back to your shoots, I don’t remember seeing darker skinned models, Ray maybe? How does it go with much darker skin?

Thanks for a great video. Could you compare Reblum to Capture One "RETOUCH" tool?

Dear Matt. You know, too, that it's not the camera or lenses that matter when it comes to taking pictures like these. It's the models and the locations that matter. Show us your pictures and let us dream.

Matt, as someone who experienced 'war' within my country past month. I'd like to thank you for just… sometimes I just gotta look at someone doing some normal thing okay. My nikon guy retouching steph photos is that kind of normal. Thanks to both of you.
