The entire shoot was way overexposed to my taste. Unless this was the look you were looking for…
I don't even know what excites me more about the three: the Canon R5, the heavy 28-70mm 2.0 or Vanessa, who always brings everything over to us with Joy? – I'm still missing the R5 and the lens, but Vanessa just makes me happy while waiting!

Hi Vanessa! How do you expose for the skin in Av mode? Do you use spot metering and lock AE button or just exposure compensation?
I was shooting down in Wildwood this September on a photo shoot. Grew up down in Seaside.. Nice beaches!

I just did a couple shoots on the beach over the weekend and gotta agree that sand is the worst. It gets everywhere !

28-70 is a great shot, but it's still too heavy for me.
Love to see different styles and thoughts on how exposure levels affect the end product. My initial thoughts were, they were all over exposed but then I thought about it and no, they aren't over exposed, it's the effect you wanted and it does make you think about the light and beach so great option.
I need to learn more about exposure compensation as I don't really use it just doing landscapes, I just adjust in manual.

Oh wow my hats off to you to do a shoot on a cloudy day with no assistant at all! Great pictures Vanessa Joy and thanks for pointing out what to take into account when shooting for a client whose image are specifically for INSTAGRAM. Question, could one just shoot and after the client picks the favorites one resize them for INSTAGRAM or does one gives the images as is to the client? Thanks ADORAMA for all these wonderful videos we can learn from about all the great gear you guys offer!
