With regard to softening the light with a modifier – I feel that it simply weakened the output since it was still a rather small light source. It would be interesting to see the same setup again where you simply turn down the power of the AD200 rather than adding things to weaken it, I imagine the results would be very similar.

Actually my flash exposure goes down – because if the background is being underexposed, you don’t need as much directional flash power.

Have the 200 pro and a 400 pro. Would like to see what a 400 or 600 out of frame would do to create similar lighting without post production masking
