The final four photographers take on the one light challenge. The rules are simple: create a portrait using only one light. Contestants have access to Canon cameras & lenses as well as off-camera lighting and modifiers from Westcott. Only three will move on to the semi-finals, and one will see their journey come to an end.

Do you know that the R5 has a viewfinder. So unprofessional the way you hold a camera.you would look better if you held a mobile phone.
I really love this creator series. Hoping you can extend the show to an hour so we can learn more. BTW, I am learning a lot.
I'm moving to Florida what's a one way U-Haul ?
Beatifull proyect
Great information. Thanks for sharing. On a different note the intro music seems to be about 2x the volume of the voices. This seems to be a common issue with YouTube lately. I'm used to broadcast standards since I used to work in tv news.
This should be an hour tv show. Watching them shoot the whole 8 minutes and then seeing their editing would be so cool. Love this, and I am learning a lot.
Fantastic image Leroy! Just gorgeous. (I do agree with Vanessa though, her right hand holding the door would have catapulted this image further).😊
These episodes are great. I see the mistakes I've made in my own work and here I see what I need to watch out for.
Good work!
Great Job Leroy, this was the winner photo for me.
Yasss Leroy I’m over here tearing up!!! Congratulations
Great job Brodie I loved the lighting in your image 🥹🥹
Loving this show! I have enjoyed seeing the contestants grow each week. Already looking forward to next weeks episode.
Mannnnnnn this episode gave me chills!!!! 😊
I'm really enjoying this series, keep thinking what I would do if I was in their shoes, I would be a total failure cause I have no idea about strobes and such
Wow. It's is great to see them grow and gaining confidence in their approach. I am still wondering whether they are thinking about the light, rather than the model and location. Planing is essential and a B plan is always essential. Leroy's was the best image at the end of the day it had a story and he saved himself with the BW. It is so refreshing to see these guys working things out and pushing the boundaries.well done everyone.
Notes; Leroy; I could see what he was trying to do , but gels love the shadows and not light and for me I think he had too much light and hence he had to turn the image into Black and White which thankfully worked. The chain cutting though her neck was distracting for me and I also agree with the comments for the judges.
Jess: Again the light for me was too bright. If she moved the light to the side and used Black V-Flats at he back and opposite side to damped the light then I think the crop would have not been so tight. Bethany: loved the feel of this image But, for me the light could have been used better, it was a little flat. However, I liked the fact that she stays with her plan and worked the scene. Brodie: Good idea with the blue gel. But, the blue was not consistent around the model and for me there was no story. I liked the fact he went very creative.
Cannot wait for the next episode 🙂
Another great challenge, looking forward to see these episodes. Sal gat off to you bro. Mr Brooklyn. On day I will have the Sal mentor me. This what is all about creating and put us to another level as creators. Keeping our craft on point.
Interesting show. I wish the video team would listen to the advice of the pros with the lighting. Why can you often see the back light sources, making those lights brighter than the subject?
Love this series but the background music is terrible and it's too loud… please change that in the future.
Plot twist: Sal will actually be the winner of the competition.
Oh man, Leroy! My man! What a great photo. I saw this and knew it was an immediate winner. I've always been a huge fan of black and white. Great image.
Brodie, love the choice of colour. So great.
Jess and Bethany, very cool images!
do a street photography series next
keep it coming I love this.
#teamleroy and #teamjess 🎉❤
Fun and creative as hell.
Nothing taking away from the beautiful image taken but, out of the two, I knew it was bye-bye Brodie😢
I just wish the winner would of had the doors opened just a few inches more so you could see her face more
#teamJess
Sal: i would like to know where can i get the mats that you use? Thanks
I have enjoyed the challenges a lot!!!
I have learned a lot!! Thanks for putting this together!
To all the participants you are all amazing!!!!!
