I can't seem to enable hss with the R5 and Profoto B1. Not sure what I am missing… 😭

When will the canon r5 and ef-rf adapter be in stock? I want to place an order these days

I love your videos and especially like how you display your camera settings. I was wondering if you could also display your flash power setting as well? Are you just using TTL, a light meter, full power, half power etc?

2:20 Wow, using Highspeed Sync, those pics came out nice.

what makes you decide to feather your light or not feather/direct on subject?

I think some of the shots are framed to tightly for insta 5×4 aspect ratio.

Thank you for being open about the sync issue. Nice to know details can be overlooked and how a professional deals with these oops moments and just keep it moving 👍🏽

Love the admission that you forgot to adjust the aperture when the lucky guy came into the shot with his wife. So genuine of you. In error, you teach. Great video as always 😊

Beautiful work as always! A few questions for you. Are you using AI Servo or One Shot to focus? Back button focusing? Also, are you using mechanical or FCS? I’ve noticed my images with the R5 aren’t as sharp, given I’m using all Canon L RF lenses. So I’m wondering if it’s just the technique I’m using, not the camera. Thank you!

Just an observation, your images seem to lack that crisp focus displayed by other Adorama photographers (most noticeable in the close-ups, the eyes, face and hair always seem blurry). Maybe shooting handheld in the reason. It's not the video because you're perfectly in focus.

Is a 300W flash enough for a personal photographer?

one thing i'm curious about is that you left the shot the original 2×3 ratio. how do you handle the IG crop for that? Do you just post with the bars on either side or just let IG crop it?

Does the R5 have an exposure/metering mode that works from the highlights? My [other brand] has that and after 50 years of manual I started to use this recently. It's not ideal in the sense all photos are relatively dark when you open them. But nothing is blown out and now I can shift the white point to where I want it (which blows out highlights brighter than that, in Lightroom only and nothing is lost). It's about pros and cons. I'm not yet convinced I will continue to "expose for the highlights", I guess until I run into some limitation I am not aware of now.

Thanks for the video! Can you please tell me about the camera strap you are using? Looks like a Blackrapid but in leather.

Although I know it's not true, every time I see that setup of Camera, Grip, and Lens it looks like it weighs 10 lbs…lol. It's been four years since I shot full-frame and my hands and wrists do not miss it for nothing…but hey you can't beat it's looks.

Thanks for the great video. Does anyone ever stop you carrying around a large light stand with a softbox and tell you that you can't take photos without a permit? With that kind of equipment it looks more like an official photoshoot whereas with just a camera it could look like someone just taking photos of their friend, albeit with a fancy camera.
