Watch how I created an award-winning fine-art portrait with two of the same ballerina representing fire and ice. I’ll show you how I styled, photographed and edited this ballet photoshoot of the amazing Alexandria Heath. I entered one of the final portraits in The Portrait Masters international competition and accreditation program and earned a Silver Award. Out of over 11,000 entries, roughly 400 portraits earned silver. I’m honored to be featured among such incredible photographers. Especially considering I did this photoshoot in my living room using speedlites.

My lighting set-up for this photoshoot included three Canon EX600 speedlites, a Magmod MagBounce and a Magmod MagShere. My keylight was inside of a Westcott Apollo softbox that I added two additional layers of white fabric diffusion to.
I used the Canon EOS R5 camera and RF 24–105mm F4 L IS USM lens.
