Hey everyone! For today’s photoshoot, I’m trading up my digital cameras for film. I am using the Pentax 67 with the 75mm f4.5 lens. This is my first time ever using a medium format film camera with an interchangeable lens and it was such a fun experience. I use the Pentax 67 Soft 1:35 120mm lens. It is a superb portrait lens. I can soften the object by changing the aperture. Check it out.

Welcome to the dark side. As a wedding photographer of almost 20 years I shoot tons of digital, but film is where the fun is at!
I had an RB67 for a few years and really liked working with the 65mm. The 180mm was great too.
Pentax 67 is of outstanding quality. I had one and made many slides with and they are are so good.
Digital cameras changed all and I had to sell my great Pentax 67. Pity.
The colors are fantastic!
Do you have a video on your at home film developing setup and process? As well as your scanning process?
Great pictures! I love this camera so much. Unfortunately, I sold mine to finance my first high-resolution digital full-frame camera 15 years ago. Since then, the prices for analog medium format cameras have risen significantly, and I can no longer afford a Pentax 67II.
Whatever sound effect you’re using each time you hit the shutter is not doing the 67 justice. That mirror slap will make grown men cry. Good to see more people using this awesome camera!
How is the experience with focusing and metering?
Also would love to see a video about developing and scanning your own film!

I had the 45mm F4 and the 200mm F4 (alongside the 75), and they were absolutely terrific. The 45 particularly produces some images that are simply beautiful to look at, no matter the subject. Everybody swears by the 105mm f2.4, but I never got the chance to try it.
Man! The choice of film, the model, and her outfit all blend together REALLY well!
The Ektar was an inspired choice – these look really great. My P67 kit is 45mm f4, 75 f4.5, 105mm f2.4 and 165mm f2.8. The 105’s reputation is well justified – it produces beautiful portraits. And so does the 165.

I had a Pentax 67 with a decent selection of lenses. Sold the lot because the Mirror Slap was horrendous. Had to pre-release the mirror for every single frame. I recently was told by a Hassleblad shooter that he also had to pre-release the mirror with his 501/cm. IMO the finest medium format cameras you can use are the Twin Lens cameras such as the Rollei and the Mamiya C220 or C330.
Now this is a real camera! So good to see the 67 in use like this in a photoshoot. The images are great. Well done. I’ve wanted one for a long time. And the first lens I’ll get will be the legendary Pentax SMC 105mm f2.4

Good stuff! I love my Pentax 67's, I have three of them (the 67, the 6X7, and the 67II), and as I figured; I was beat to the punch as far as recommending that you look at and consider getting the 105 2.4 lens for your 67. As you may know or should know that EVERYBODY loves the 105 2.4 lens, for a number of people, it's a Deity to be worshiped!😂
Beyond that, enjoy your 67 it is a great camera that will give you great pics and build up your biceps too.🤣 Be good!
i have the 105mm but i really want to get the 90mm leaf shutter so i can get higher flash sync rates

Your medium format film photos are truly stunning. You have a beautiful sense of distance between the model and the background. Everything feels perfectly balanced. The model, the clothing, and the colors are all so well matched.
The color rendering is so beautiful that I'm genuinely curious about your process. Developing color film at home is, in my opinion, worth an entire video, or even a whole series. Same goes for digitizing with a camera. I really hope you'll share that one day.
