The legendary company ILFORD, sent me their new 4×5 sheet film: PAN F PLUS 50. I kept it light on this one and just took a few in studio portraits using strobe lighting. As well as taking the beast large format camera outdoors for a couple of frames. In all, I was very pleased with this film. I hope you all enjoy this one!

Thank you for this video, very enlightening!
Beautiful work!
lets goooo
So happy I came across your channel. This was a great informative post. I was pleased that my fav pose of your shoot was the same image they printed out for display. Is the model a friend or just a professional model? I ask because they seemed really well posed and relaxed (natural) in all 4 images. I thought maybe a friend would be at ease in this shooting situation. I have shot film and digital for a longtime, and just moved into the Hasselblad x2d medium format. You did a great job of showing the exceptional detail, contrast and fine grain advantages of 4 x 5. Tempted to rent one of those beast bodies and try out some frame captures.. Will look back through your posts, and subscribed. Cheers, Mike!
Did he stick pins through the large print?
Awesome photos man!
Never tried pan f but this making me want to try. Thanks for sharing and pictures are amazing as always brother
I’m kinda glad they brought this film out in 4×5, but there’s really no great advantage over medium format pan f unless you’re gonna make really enormous prints.
Just how beautiful it is to see the final print afterwards… The reflection in his eyes is just absolute peak. Well done Mike
letsss goooo
Great photos. Great film stock.
Large Format itself is such an amazing journey from setup to the print. I have nothing but admiration for people shooting large format ❤️
I love shooting 4×5. But in Australia, it costs me about $100 per sheet and hardly anywhere lab scans. I often use a 6×12 back; however, it is not the same 😂
25 sheets = 105€ in Germany. Sold out.
Large format stays undefeated, great photos bro
How to make your life harder than it needs to be 🙂 Why not go all the way and copy it on photo paper as well instead of printing it?
Fantastic print and great effort. The punchy but still forgiving light from the big Mola works well with the high contrast of the film. Suits the model's face really well. Careful exposure and development will be important here, given the extra contrast. Must order a box in 8×10, to check it out. Good stuff!
Another paper to consider when printing is 308 photo rag from the same company. It has a softness that is hard to describe, and under glass, there is only one reflective surface. I use both papers, just a consideration.
Wow – that print!!!! looks amazing. Great photo too.
Killed it as usual bro! I haven't shoot sheet film yet but definitely need to get on it! That resolution is crazy!
It was really nice🙏🏾
This is when $5.00 worth of film, beats the hell out of the 100MP Mr Fuji's imaging computer. Have to dig out my 4X5s again.
That was a damm good video Mike!!
I switched to 4 x5 3 years ago it's fabulous.
Been wanting to shoot large format for a while now. Guess this is my sign 🙌🏽😎
great video Mike ✨👏🏽
another Mike Gray banger!
Cool 😍
Great video as always 🍿. Love seeing someone enjoy and be good at their craft. Also shout-out Germany, I was in Dortmund last week too seeing friends, and similar to this everyone's hospitality is great. Wish we had that in the UK 😅
You make photography creepy! Smh
