I’m glad I asked 💙
When it comes to photographing strangers, I’m always a bit hesitant to ask parents with kids.
As much as I’m sure some parents would LOVE a photo with their family…
I know the internet can be a weird place, and there are very real concerns around privacy.
But when I saw Isi and Damie – I knew I would regret not asking him.
To give some reassurance, I said I’d focus most of the focus on him (and not his kid)… and if he changed his mind afterwards, I would happily delete it.
I’m glad he let me take their portrait. 💙
And I sent him all these photos (and more) so he can look back on this day and smile.
P.S. This was a very quick interaction since we were both on our way to somewhere else, but if they’re open to it, I would love to do a re-do and hear their story (this time with the missus included).
