I love that type of photography, how do you shoot in backlight without horribly affecting the subject? Do you use a reflector or a flash? (sorry if you explained it in the video, haha I don't speak English but your work caught my attention) grateful to Google Translate.

I recently bought the Sony A7III with the 50mm f/1.4 GM lens — it’s actually my first camera. Everyone around me has been blaming me for buying such an expensive camera and lens. I don’t really know anything about cameras or photography; I just wanted to buy a camera to take pictures.
I don’t want to become a professional photographer — my actual business is a bakery. But I do enjoy taking pictures. I also have a YouTube channel where I make cake videos, but I have very few subscribers, and the channel often feels like a failure.
Still, I really want to learn how to use this camera properly and make the most of it. I’ve been feeling guilty lately because of the criticism, but watching your videos has helped. They inspire me and remind me why I wanted to get into photography in the first place.
Please keep sharing your content — it truly helps beginners like me stay motivated. If you have any advice for using the A7III as a beginner, I’d really appreciate it. 💛

Good tips here! Ive been shooting portraits professionally 20 years now and tons of natural light. I will add that every portrait photographer should at least carry a diffuser/reflector with them and if you can afford it, battery powered lights. Even one of those cheap LED light banks you can mount on your camera would help a lot in situations like this where the lighting is flat and boring. A reflector is also a huge help as well as a diffuser in harsh lighting. Dont just rely on the sun. Using it as a main light but adding fill lights from strobes/LEDs or even a reflector will take your outdoor portraits to the next level and make them look more professional. Nice video!

Back light on the beginning of the video was really nice but you needed a good flash , so you could bring down the exposure of the background and light the subject.
I have a macro lens and always worked well .
sometimes the location not good but I'm scared to change it because its looked you are not a perfect photographer .

Noticed you pointed out the center composition. Beginning photographers are always taught first about the rule of thirds, but it does seem center compositions may be more common for portraits. Is that true?
1:04 All those leaves in the background were also creating specular highlights from the harsh sun, which can look busy even in the blurred background.

In photography, there is never such a thing as a "perfect shot". In whichever genre you are in, its a guarantee that more often then not you won't be exactly satisfied with the end results you seek. My take is that learn to give and take and never set your mind to only accept "your must want". Being too insistent on "that shot" can sometimes make it less enjoyable.
