Only drawback is pill cutout and no USB-C otherwise the iPhone is an option on my shopping list, would get a MacBook instead and maybe the Z Fold

Damn it man! On the ground and closer up. I like the photo quality on the iphone more. But I am a avid star gazer. And love looking up at the night sky. And so for full moons or luner eclipses. There's no doubt the Samsung would be better for those kind of camera shots. Not to mention, if I go to a concert. I can zoom in closer to the stage with Samsung
Saf, please double check what you said about the missing foreground blur on S22 Ultra. I just tested it on Z Fold 4 with One UI 4.1.1 from August and on S10 with One UI 4.1 from August. On both you have the foreground blur as well, and of course you can edit the strength of the effect afterwards, too which proves it is the software blur and not the natural blur from the lens. Actually, I am surprised that iPhone hadn't that before because it is obviously a feature that should have been there from the beginning! It is a new trick, but only for iPhones!
Edit: just use your shot between the trees and edit it on S22 Ultra afterwards. One remark though: it might be that the S22 Ultra does not allow to look it as cartoonish and unnatural as it looks with the foreground tree on the iPhone shot: no DSLR lens would show such an effect when shot from such a close distance. If you edited it on S22 Ultra, it adapts foreground and background at the same time so that they both match each other.

108 Megapixel is just a "wow" sales number for people who know nothing about cameras and sensors.. it offers absolutely nothing except for increased noise. the iPhone is so clearly a more refined product.

Surprising you didn't bring up Apple not fixing the lens flare issue, it's still really bad for night time photos and video. Overall, I would say the camera's are not really an improvement over the 13 pro, dynamic range has improved a little (but still behind the competition) but over sharpening has made many photos much worse.

The 100x Space Zoom is actually a really good feature for taking photos of the Moon. Every time the Moon is clearly visible I use my S21 Ultra to get some great photos.
