After the first photo of Kate Middleton released since her surgery was recalled by photo agencies for apparent manipulation, the princess responded to the backlash and shared an explanation. “Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused,” she said NBC’s Molly Hunter reports for TODAY.

I work in medicine, and if (IF) she indeed had a "tummy tuck", this surgery is serious. This surgery is not just the skin that is involved – it is the muscles underneath. It takes 6 months to 1 year to heal as it is inside the body. My friend had this surgery. You have to wear medical supports for a very long time. She had 3 children and it is not uncommon to have such surgery in the USA. People need to give her space – and be kind and wish her well. She needs her family around her right now.

Catherine did not sit for this photo and her face (among other things) was photoshopped. We all know that the Fraud and Fuz photoshop like they breathe. I 💯 support media when they put the Fraud and Fuz in their place AND support media when they call Catherine’s bluff. We should condemn and penalize the Fraud and Fuz. But we should not worship Catherine. The Fraud belongs in prison. The Fuz belongs in a mental asylum. Catherine should be praised for her hard work on behalf of the UK, William and their children. We respect Catherine – but we should not worship any mortal. The world needs to stop lying about photoshopping. Be real, be human, be flawed.

I don’t think any photos on instagram is 100% real no a days. Always some filter or touch up and for this case they did touch up too. She’s the princess! Everything alway got to be spot on or u have exactly what is happening now…judging, speculations. Get over it

How do people know it was Kate who type and posted that post. It could’ve been anyone. The only way for them to truly prove she’s okay is a live video of her saying that she’s fine,resting and recovering.and thank people for their concern and well wishes.

So what if she responded to the post instead of William. Just because he took the photo, doesn’t mean she shouldn’t try editing or own up to it! Wives are the ones who would normally do that, and she’s IN the pic, so why wouldn’t her husband be the photographer. Such far reaching to make unnecessary and unfounded claims about their personal lives. Maybe the ring is being cleaned, the the set tightened. Maybe post surgical medicine has her fingers swollen. Maybe she had a miscarriage? It’s none of our business.
