Having moved from a DSLR to a sony mirrorless I'm finding it very hard to see my subjects right before I focus off flash between auto focus and framing. Im used to seeing what i see in my viewfinder not the camera. Shooting multiple fast passed portraits lately and finding the dark viewfinder very frustrating for framing. Any tips on settings

The best way is pretty simple – a flash meter and trigger. Then dial in setting on camera.

Instead of using a higher f stop, isnt it possible to just increase shutter speed to maintain f8, or is there some magic going on with setting a shutter sped of 1/160? Just curious. Thanks
Or you could use a light meter to quicken all these steps up. 🙂
