In this video I use the #nikond850 and nikon d800 to take professional natural light #portraits in order to test the image quality between the two cameras. I used this as a moment to shoot natural light and work around harsh lighting in order to get the nice shots that I would typically achieve with off camera flash. Let me know which camera you think did the best and note some differences below. For this shoot I used a sigma 35mm 1.4 lens and nikon nikkor 24-70mm lens and kept the focal length at 35mm for the best comparison. The cameras were shot with the exact same camera settings for the best comparative results. #bokeh

You’re using different lenses on those cameras, aren’t you? I understand the settings and focal lengths used are the same but different lenses produce different results so this would only be a fair comparison if you used the same lens. Just pointing that out man. It looks like one has a Sigma Art 35mm and the other has a 24-70mm set at 35mm.

You would get better reflection with white NOT silver reflector. Seriously, it is more even and natural and will not blind the model.

what two lens were you using in this shoot? You need to use the same lens on both cameras to get an actuate comparison.

I can get the same results or better with my Nikon D800.. It depends on your settings and how well you know your camera.. It is clear that the cameras have a different lens.. So you can't compare the results between the 2 cameras.. I was going to get the Nikon D850.. But the people I know with the Nikon D850, haven't beaten the results I get with the Nikon D800.. Other than the rear screen positions.. As far as 4K video, I have 4K video cameras..

Side by side unedited comparison is very helpful, but I wish if u use same lense on both cameras. Both have Sony sensors inside them.👍

I still use a 20-year-old D800 because i don't have $ for a D850. The pandemic doesn't help any. That said, sharpness and dynamic range are excellent. I have images shot at ISO 6,400 that are very good- don't miss your exposure or focus, though.
