Just disable live view, using a shortcut, no need for modeling light to focus.

    Hello Sir, I've a question.
Can we Pair Godox ad 400 pro with V1 using a Xpro trigger and use both at the same time?

Thanks for this very helpful video. I'm starting to sort out how to use flash generally, but really focused on macro outdoors, flowers and insects etc. I have one Godox V1 and a trigger. I may get a second flash. I would like to be able to mount a V1 on a tripod that will have an arca swiss clamp. Is there an easy way to accomplish that?
EDIT – May have answered my own question. Looks like the little mini stand that comes with the V1 has a 1/4 inch female screw mount on the bottom. So, maybe a small arca swiss camera mount will attach to the mini stand?
BTW – your portrait work shown here is outstanding.

Can It work as a master or a slave for a Sony HVL60 flash if I have a third party trigger to fire one of them and have the other one fire as slave? or does a Sony flash only work Sony to Sony?

If you use two V1s with one on camera as a fill, the on camera unit is also a controller.

Do you believe Godox V1 is much better than Godox V860II? The new V1 delivers better results for on location photos without modifiers?

I am amazed at how good this Godox V1 flash is σσ>imgs.love/GodoxV1Flash?80b I replaced my Nikon SB 900 because I wanted a strobe that I could incorporate with my Flashpoint AD600 pro and AD 360 lights. It is so simple to control all these lights with the r2 controller. The output is consistent and the color is good. The Li-ion battery recycles last and lasts a long time. The TTL function has to be dialed down -.7 or -1 stops for best out put, but the quality of light is very nice. The AK accessory kit for the flash is a must get and also very adffordable.

Very informative overview, and really loved the colour images with their beautiful autumnal feel. Along with your model, her hair and clothing really blended. I think they would look as interesting in mono. Many thanks, much appreciate your sharing your time and skill!

When I was deciding to purchase a speedlight I did my usual research online. As soon as I saw you had done a review, that's all I needed to make my mind up. Your reviews are so thorough and objective. Really useful resource for anyone looking to purchase camera gear. Thank you for the time and effort you put into them.

Was flash really necessary for outdoors ? It was a cloudy day so the light was very diffused and plenty enough.

Just a minor mention. In your recommendation of NordVPN you say “backslash”. It’s a “slash” or “forward slash” in a URL. Always. Never a backslash. Backslash is used in windows file system paths like c:windows. is a backslash. Thanks for your V1 review!

Shy model, smiled only 2 times 🙂 One question, can this flash keep up, and give consistent output with 11fps shooting? I had problems with Profoto B1X when it doubles the output on each shot, it goes 1x, 2x, and so on until it reaches maximum output, when shooting this fast. Profoto A1 works wonderfully in continuous mode, but costs more. I am thinking to go Godox V1. Thank you.

That is a nice little unit, I can add it to my Flashpoint 600 strobe and my Nikon flash. Being a retired Firefighter I hop your model didn't get any soot stains on her bottom of her skirt. It was hard enough getting it out of out bunker gear. LOL

Really happy you've started covering Godox lights since they're very popular and affordable. I've got a set of two AD200 pros and hopefully, you'd get to play a bit with those as well. The fact you're using flash without making the result look too flashy and more natural is something I'm pleased with as well. All this with very small modifiers (something one create out of card and a hairband if on a budget) which are very portable and inexpensive. Nice work Dustin as always.

I do like Godox however one big fail is they don't provide firmware updates for Macs, only windows. I have not been able to complete a firmware update with windows either. I get to a point where it says I have to have a certain driver and the driver is nowhere to be found.
