At 180mm the pictures looks a touch dark or am i wrong?
Nice video. I have the Nikon z version of that lens, and I like it. Meanwhile, I know you have your own shooting style, but for me, I get sharper results when I hold the camera's viewfinder up to my eye, while bracing my elbows on my body (or one hand on my head if shooting verticals).

I am in Mexico and I need some advice here please. I just started with photography as a business on the side and I am planning to go full time in the future.
I have shot mostly portraits and just one big event…a children's party.
I have Sony a7m1 with the kit lens and I happened to get a very good deal on a 2nd hand Zeiss 55mm 1.8. And customers looooove the sharpness and out of focus background in their portraits when I use the Zeiss So after watching you and dozens and dozens of other YouTubers and based on my budget I want to add a " more specialized lens for portraits, and I have two options Samyang 85mm 1.4 and Samyang 135mm 1.8. (they are exactly the same price here).
But then Ive seen photographers using the Sony 70-200mm 2.8 as a portrait lens and the results are amazing but that lens is way out of my budget (for now) so I've seen people comparing the Tamron with the Sony and Tamron looks like another good option even though is 400dlls more expensive. But if I stretch my budget I can buy it.
So anyone who is reading this and with more experience than me.. What should I get?
Samyang 85, Samyang 135 or Tamron 70-180?

105mm is the sweet spot for portrait
I just bought this lens and the sigma 85 1.4 Oh its gonna be exciting times!
How does this lens perform for sports? Is the autofocus can catch a fast moving subject well?
Wish it was f2 instead of 2.8. But it's a good option to the 70-200 if you want a bit lighter carry weight.

Julia, great video, it covers all the basis to know the differences within the range of this kind f zoom, irregardless of the brand, I was surprised that you had to step back so far to be able to get a full body shot , so, for events with limited space, probably primes on the range from 35 to 85 would be better based on your demo. Keep up the good work, we are learning from your experience and that can translate in less frustration in choosing our gear (not to mention less money if you end buying something that would not be useful)….cheers

I just got this lens used from my local camera shop for 725 USD! I was using a 135 when I needed reach and this just makes more sense when needing to pinch in a little more. After buying it I knew I had to watch your video to get your take on it. Totally agree with what you said. Have you ever shared your wedding work? I think you could start a separate channel dedicated to weddings only and it would gain traction.

I recently found your chanel and in many video a can see a little boxe screwed in to the tripod socket with a cable connected to your Sony and I would like to know what is it
With the cable seemingly plug into the hdmi port but I cant find anything like that
