Second business for wedding photographers to carefully edit out some people from the wedding photos.
AI will no more replace professional photographers than phone cameras, consumer dslrs or the 35mm point and shoot cameras of the 70s. Can AI compose decorative pictures? Sure, can it replace wedding photos, portraits, architecture and street photography delivered in digital file form, no it can not.

Although I don't get the argument about digital files vs prints. Can't you just print an image that an AI generated?
The argument that AI cannot take a photo of a real moment with real people and a real experience, that I get, but I don't see how it is related to the photos being digital or printed.
Great advise, how do we deal with people who say they will do their own prints .. So many want to take control of ordering their own prints

No, I'm sorry but it won't. Photography is trending toward the imperfect and the authentic. Film will be the only way to prove your photography isn't AI.

0:10 at first glance we can see first one is ai, question is: is it important, imagine if you are client and photographer misses the shot at your wedding or breaking world speed record event but ai makes perfect photo of that moment what would you say, what would you do, would you discard ai as naaahh I need real photo that photographer took ?
Or you have blurry photo of your child performing at big stage, and photographer uses ai to fix/sharpen it, would you say stop no give me the blurry one that one is real?

The one thing that’s going to make your client still trust your work as a photographer is their own participation in the process. Ai just eroded all trust in digital media. That trust is gone forever. Unless your client is somehow participant in the making of the final product, you’re always going to fight an uphill battle with the monumental distrust that Ai dropped over the entire digital industry, including photography. Eventually we are going to see a renewed interest from the public for authenticity in the media. When the childish fascination for Ai have faded we will, no doubt, see a return, of sorts, to something that must have authenticity to it. The public will eventually realise the unique value of something that is certifiably authentic. Ai have made Hollywood fiction a lot more boring and uninteresting to many of us just because it has an aurora of fake attached to it. Of course, Hollywood was ways fake, but a sort of fake with some stardom attached to it least. Nowadays, it’s all just Ai slop, all of it, and feel it!

I think human interaction and human content will become even more valuable because everything else will be just push of a button experience. Everyone is echoing each other – ai will replace everyone. Can someone please give me at least one actual example how is this going to happen? How ai is going to replace wedding photographer and videographers? People genuinely want relive the same moments again through photography or video. No ai can replace that.
Well AI would never replace photography and looking at those two pictures you showed at the beginning, One was worked up, the other was never touched so yea one looks dramatically different from the other. But I've taken lots of shots that people think was AI and it's a 6 year old shot LOL. It will for sure become helpful but nothing beats the real thing. Maybe product photography I can see it happening because so many lazy people these days so they take a white box shot and throw it into AI and say "I do product photography" having zero idea how to set up for the actual shot lol. It sucks but it's real, AI will take over but will not take over me.
I don't entirely agree. It's not about the medium. AI does not have intuition and can't decide if something is good or bad. It can't even decide if something it comes up with is correct and needs new source material that can only come from photographers or it feeds on itself and becomes worse.
If you're a stock photographer the biggest threat is over with camera phones that have flooded the market with material. AI can never replace personal photography where you sit down with the person. When a woman books a boudoir session it's not because she wants digital files or a physical portrait. Sure some of those things can get you additional income but what gets you the business in the first place is that she wants the experience.

Hot take: AI will never truly replace photography . You can mimic styles, but you can’t replace the creative choices behind the lens — or the detailed work that goes into real retouching. I see it every time I edit portraits: lighting, texture, and emotion can’t be faked by prompts. What do you guys think — is AI just a tool, or do you see it taking over completely?
Every statement that sounded something like "blank" technology will never replace "x" has been proven wrong. AI will easily replace all genres of photography other than doing it for a hobby. When you can take a picture on your phone, tell an app to take that photo and create a collection of professional portraits, and order prints to be sent to your door, there goes the boutique photography model. While there might be a few anti-technology people out there that want to use a real photographer the numbers will continue to dwindle until the point there just won't be enough business left to support professional photographers as a career industry. While it isn't likely going to happen in the next year or two the writing is on the wall for most markets.
4 children not kids. Ai is going crazy and luckily doesn’t hurt my digital images . Most affected as you mention within 2 or 3 years.

Hi , I am an art teacher and I am thinking about focusing on photography more moving forward. Maybe switching into photography as a career at some point. Any videos you would recommend on your channel?
Ai would never replace photography. It can replace product photography. Photography is about the experience with a client and location. I don’t think people will want pics or event promoters will want fake pics of a scene that never happened.
