Photography Rules that are Ruining Your Work

Photography Rules that are Ruining Your Work

Hey everyone! If you’ve been around on my channel, you would notice that I tend to like breaking the “rules” when it comes to portrait photography. So I thought it would be interesting to make a video with all those rules I’ve been told time and time again that I think you don’t really need to actually follow to capture great images. Let me know which photography myths you’ve heard of that you don’t follow!

There are no rules in photography. In fact, those that are stated are all made up.

The truth is. Reality and humans are weird and unfair. If you’re new and a nobody. People will say the photo is awful or wrong. But if you’re famous or already a someone in the industry. For the same photo. People will say its great!

    Facts.

I'd love to see not just a part 2 but also a video on how you keep track of your locations! Do you use a particular app?

The most important rule of photography – stop talking about rules, just grab your camera and go shooting

The first rule of photography, you don't talk about photography. The second rule of photography, you don't talk about photography.

Thanks Julia! I apply already all of your recos (because most of the time I don’t have the choice to do otherwise), and I am happy to hear confirmation from you. Part 2 would be great!!

Ive been a hobbyist for a decade. Taking pics for myself shooting in auto mode. 2 years ago I found myself wanting to learn more and understand how to take the photos I was envious of.
I’ve watched countless videos from various YouTubers on settings to composition etc.

the last 6months or so I have routinely checked your channel to see if you have a video on a question I had as I have found your videos to be the most informative without muddying the water.
I now have a Julia Trotti folder with all my go to videos of yours when I want a refresher. Continue to add to it when videos come out that I want to be able to refer back to. Love the channel. Easy to understand and follow and informative information given to those looking to get better at photography

Some of your locations blow my mind with how plain they seem, until you frame them in your shots and make magic!

Is the course a sum of all the vedios you uploaded on your channel related to lighting?….
Or is it a totally new tutorial which you haven't taught earlier on any of your 'free' content on YouTube?
    Then it's worth paying….

    Plzzzz let me know😊
