Clean your glasses. The Zeiss 135 is unmatched for portraiture. I picked up the Sony A99 specifically for this lens. That's 4 K. That combo has long since been paid in full x over.
If you shoot to eat you best shoot well. BTW……I am grudgingly giving ground to the Sony lineup with Zeiss. Grundingly…not completely.
Any thoughts on the Sigma 85mm f1.4.
on a d7000 a 50mm 1.8g could be a portrait lens. it is much better for full body stuff or street photo. now the 24 – 70 2.8 or 85mm 1.8g is the way to go for portraits on a full frame camera. i use all three of the aforementioned lenses. ya dig?
what about the canon ef 85mm f/1.8 usm ???
Hello, do you know "Photo SFXart Tricks" (just google it)? On their website you will find a great free video showing the best way to create awesome pictures. It helped Daniel to shoot photos that have a wow-effect whenever you take a look at them. It might work for you also.
I love how you forgot the one-lens that simply blows them all away!!. The nikon 85mm f1.4G!!…ask anyone who knows there shit, that lens is simply the best out-there!!!.

Hi, i have question on gps devices for canon gp-e1 and gp-e2 and how they are working in lightroom 4.1?
Which out of these three lenses are the most reliable and would last me a decade or so under careful but heavy use?
What would you recommend for doing strictly portraits on Canon 7d? A Canon 50mm 1.4/ Sigma 50mm 1.4 or a Canon 85mm 1.8?

Hi Mark, I have a new camera 5d Mark 2. well its not completly new, I have had it for a year now, but never really taken much notice of how far you can zoom into a picture that your taken untill now. I have found that if I zoom into a picture at about 50%. That seems to be the sharpest point of the picture, but however If i zoom in too a 100% the image is not sharp at all. Please explain your view on after images as far as zooming goes.
Are you talking about the Canon version? If so, I can tell you the 50mm 1.4 is probably the best lens you'll ever get based on the price. It really is a stellar lens.
