Hey brow just wanted to give you a tip that will save you some time. So once you have your outline done if you just make a single filled in square with no stroke (make a little bigger than your whole portrait). Then send your square to back so your outline is in front then select everything ( your outline and your square ) then go to the pathfinder and hit "Trim" . That's it you'll have all your individual pieces all filled in you just have to change the color to whatever you want your base color to be. Really quick and easy saves a ton of time. If you already know this well maybe some of your viewers don't. Good job btw, cheers.
