I think instead of using Expert Raw, you shouldve compared the normal Raw mode on s24U. Expert Raw has known issues with its raw files and Samsung is aware of them but refuses to fix them. The normal Raw mode is much much better with a lot of latitude and much less artifacts

Samsung fans: ultra has 100x zoom. So it's the best.
Me: I never need to use 100x zoom.

The hardware issue that the pixel has is around its poor processor IMO. If you had used video boost, that shows that the main issue the pixel has on video is processing the frames fast enough. Something that neither an iPhone or Samsung struggles with
S24 ultra obviously needs a software update. something is not right with processing.
Pixel8P is the best
why the f do people care so much for what are the most minimalistic differences between cameras. I can understand professional photographer being this anal, but seriously who the hell cares among others.
Samsung image processing is horrid. Pixel 8 Pro is amazingly detailed camera especially at 50mp full resolution even at 10x zoom. Why do you keep saying you're surprised how better the Pixel is??
I haven't faced any of these problems with my S24. Then again I do optimise it to my liking.
Haven’t tried the s24 ultra, but I can tell you, after using my 8 pro for about 2 months, the pictures look very artificial sometimes.
I switched from S21U to pixel 8 pro and love the phone, don't miss the Samsung (by the way, I don't play games on my phone)
I trust professional tests from dxomark more, pixel is better

The camera is not the reason I get a phone. I have had the pixel 7 and the tensor chip can't compare to snapdragon in performance

Only if the Pixel had a ecosystem like Samsung and Apple. The pixel watch and pixel tablet are basically mediocre and gimmicky compared to the other competition's products.
3x zoom is actually hybrid zoom, not only digital cropp. Pixel uses 5x shot for the inner part of the 3x+ photos, and melds it with 2x crop in the outer frame.

Samsung rlly oversaturated and over exposed should give us the option for natural mode
Samsung is a good overall all rounder but pixel is champion at main camera photos but s24 u is better in most other modes like video , portraits, zoom, macro, stabilization and it’s just 100 dollars more expensive in my country so the price doesnt defend pixel anymore like it used to and also consider s24 u as pro raw and pro mode its just a better camera overall but pixel better in photos

S24 Ultra software came in a bit hot and rushed, there's going to be an update to its camera to fix some issues and performance in the relative near future. With that said the S24 Ultra, even its sub optimal state, is still holding its own.
Man you seem very biased. All the shots on pixel were much cleaner and better. Admit it, Samsung screwd up. I'm a Samsung user, anyway.
Get a Samsung if you like taking pictures of useless inanimate objects from random distances. Get a pixel if you know people and hang out with them in both indoor and outdoor settings during various times of day and night.

Well, I got the Pixel 8 pro for €929, the S24 ultra would have cost me €1449 … for this price difference alone I can get a decent pocket camera.
For a full RAW in Samsung you better avoid “Expert RAW” mode. RAW shot in ordinary Pro mode has a better dynamic range.

The only reason I would choose the s24 ultra is the fact that Google doesn't officially support or sell the pixel in my country ( Greece ).
I sent my S24U back and keeping my S23U, thought it can handle finally moving objects but I was wrong. Also coulours were bad, night pictures blurry and display was washed out. A lot of people sent it back. Don’t know why nobody is talking about that. S23U still 👑
I am looking forward to a raw photo comparison between pixel and the Samsung, both edited in Lightroom with adobe standard colour profiles. Samsung still keeps its horrible software interpretation algorithms into raw as well. I just keep my edited raw on my 8 pro, also got the cobalt colour natural colour profiles, I get the most of the performance on my pixel photography.
