VM is overrated. Her unconventional life is more interesting than her photos.

Haha, interesting, as I started to watch your video, I thought to myself: wow she would like learning about Vivian Maier…
Thanks for sharing how you use photography as a way for self discovery/healing/having fun.
I kind of see this as some sort of dialog with one self.
    Peace Tatiana.

Thank you for sharing your love for self portraits. It has reminded me of my love of it as well. Everything you said was so relatable to the point of being scary. So I will just take this as a sign.❤️

I just "found" you yesterday while listening to the Street Photography Magazine pod cast. Today I have been checking out your YouTube videos and the more I listen to what you are saying the more I'm feeling inspired to try different things. I'm not a pro photographer but I have been taking pictures since I was a kid. I think it's time for me to explore different aspects of photography. I like the idea of self portraits as a starting point.

Very powerful video. I'm glad you made this video, I don't think it was easy to put yourself out there. I'm not sure I have the same courage. Maybe at some point I will.

Is a selfie without refecting a background a portrait?Or must a portrait always have a background?

Btw, as you will see, I am not afraid of my flaws, quite the contrary. Comes with age, I suppose, and a genuine curiosity re How The World Really Works. Personally, I have no interest in portraits that try to make the subject 'look good'.

I always thought of capturing a self portrait as uncomfortable. But after watching this video, I would love to try it for this reason – Like an intimate diary or documentation of myself.

I don't know if anyone's ever mentioned this, but I really like your use of typography for credits etc. Nice choice of (modernist) sans serif and tastefully sized/tracked. I don't think many would understand/appreciate this comment, but I get the feeling you might. The content's really good too, of course.

You might find a 20-foot air cable-release useful for self-portraits.
Your short shutter release cable is very limiting.

I am my favourite model 😂 it’s so true that you make the self portrait public but at the same time it’s so private that no one will ever know what’s really about.

You shouldn't over think self portraits, they should be done on a whim. They should be analyzed in retrospect.

I like to have a person in my photos . Sometimes I'm the only person available. I like photographing people who are posing for someone else. A candid pose. Selfies are interesting. Alot of great artist painted self portraits. Sometimes it interesting to me, to put myself in a mood, then make some selfies. Like listen to some cynical music by Lou Reed, or watch a funny cartoon like The Tick. I like Andrew Wythes paintings alot. He communicates loneliness, and dispare in some. I like his ocean related paintings alot also. Thanks for the great shows that you make.

💢 you just inspired me . There are hardly any pix of me – since I'm usually the photographer 📸 of any group. But – now – I'll find ways to be included. THANK YOU ❗️ 🤗
