So to achieve the bluish background and warms on the skin, do you have to expose a cool white balance for the ambient light and then use a warm gel on your flash? You did a great job and the model as well!

Thanks for the great video , gave me some things to update on my commercial portrait services, and prompts a few questions:
What do you mean by “sell some more images”? Wouldn’t I just build into the price the value of receiving the full gallery of images? (Which is what I do, though my family portraits and weddings are now (after 10 years of not doing this) following a boutique model to serve the clients better with a Gallery Reveal and Print Design session, since those types of clients are better served with prints, books, and albums of their photos) Are you charging a session fee, then selling individual digital images? 1:17

I really appreciate that headshot and Editorial approach. I always felt that that was what I was doing with my clients but I didn't really have a name for each segments outside of "let's have a little fun and do a Forbes magazine shoot." Very clear and concise.

I think the backdrop is a projection from the top down. Can somebody confirm what’s that ? At 4:10 I see 3 lights (2back and 1 side) and I reflector. However, there’s 5th item on top projecting to wall. That’s what missing in the list of items in description.

showing nostrils in a headshot isn't inherently distracting, it's often avoided in professional headshots to maintain a more refined and professional look. The focus should be on the eyes and overall facial expression .
avoid Distraction at all time . Bad Advice Son . Nastrils look like the Front of a ashot Gun . 😂

Im sure this video is out there but would love to know more about what your thinking with each model direction. You say it a couple times but each direction is so specific I wonder what the change you see with each one was.

Gary is one of those instructors that actually create content for working photographers. Most of the others seem to be teaching amateurish 'fun' lighting.
