Sounds a lot like my work motto! I do fast design services, I don’t even have any kind of art/design education, my job is to provide a customer with the fast solution that meets all their needs, most of the time on the spot, like in 10-15 minutes. And the first thing you throw away at this position is your perfectionism and personal tastes. You ask what people like, you find out what is easy for them to relate to, you help them find something familiar or exciting. That’s all. If they get what they wanted all along, even before they came to me, they feel happy and satisfied and they will come again.

This is so true. I already did photoshoots with two of my friends, who are into photography, as well as one tfp shoot.
There were many pictures I loved, which they adored too, but also many many pics, which only one of us really liked.

beauty is so often made out to be this objective standard that you either fit in, or don't – it's lovely to see the respect and care for others' standards and self-perceptions.

It all pretty much comes down to subjectivity, rather than objectivity. There is no right or wrong, beautiful or ugly, its just how a person sees themselves or wants to portray themselves from their OWN lense, no pun intended 😅
